The Keichstag Majority's peace action is due to the fact that they prefer peace uow, as they are convinced Germany will not get better terms six mouths hence. GERMAN PARTY LEADER DEAD Zurich, July 25. Obituary: Dr. Bassermann, leider of the German National Liberals. [Dr. Ernst Bassermann is described in "Who's Who in Hunland" as the "eocalled leader of the National Liberal Party, latterly known as the 'National Miserables.' Once a force in German politics, the National Liberals are now an entirely innocuous organisation. Bassermann was granted a major's rank and umiforni when war broke out, and has rendered conspicuous service "in the ndminietrative dragooning of Belpium under Bissing's governor-generals'hip.l THREE DISAFFECTED.REGIMENTS WITHDRAWN .
