THE CAMP TEA
.'■'- MOKE..ABOUT ITS QUALITY'. ' The quality of the tea served to the men in tho camps was called in question . in the Houso of 'Representatives the other day. , ■ ' Tho Minister of Munitions (the Hon. A. M. Myers) referred to tho matter yesterday. He said that the tea was supplied under contract, and care was taken in the testing of samples supplied to seo that tho quality was good. On the last occasion that tenders wero called, tho two lowest tenders wero not accepted because they were not considered good enough. J'u fact, tho tea supplied was so good that the Camp Commandant and the Camp Adjutant at Featherston wore in the habit of purchasing it for use in .their own households. Ho was informed that the medical authorities had condemned tho vessel in which tea was made at Featherston, and that since a now vessel of the same sort had been used tho tea had been satisfactory. Tho fault was not in the tea. Mr. Okeyj: It is what the doctors put in it? ■ Mr. Myers: Oh, no.
