BENZINE EXPLOSIONS
TARE THE TINS FAULTY? Another 1-cferenco to /explosions of benzino on shipboard was made in the House of Representatives yesterday. Mr. Hornsby said that the tins in which benzino was sent to this country were now being made- so thin that one could forco one's thumb through, a tin, and it v*s almost impossible to handle the stuff without causing a leak. When tins leaked a vapour was given off, and cl« plosions took place in consequence. Ha urged the Government to set up an inquiry with a view of making representations to tlie United States Government regarding the greed of the Oil Trust. . Mr. Massey said ho would be very glad to make further inquiry on this very important matter. He had already mado a little inquiry, and it was just possible that before long he would' have something further to say on the subject.
