SUBURBAN TRAINS
GOVERNMENT STILL CONSIDERING. Two weeks ago a deputation of city and suburban members waited upon the Piime Minister to urge that some measure of relief should bo granted from the inconvenience caused by the cessation of suburban train services. In the House of Representatives ' yesterday. Mr. Parr, asked tho Prime Minister when lie expected to be in a position to give an answer, to the request of. the deputation. The matter was one of great importance to city and suburban people, and he pressed for an .early reply. Mr. Massey said that he was not in a position yet to givo a reply.' He had promised tho deputation that tho matter would bo submitted to Cabinet, and it was ' now on tho Cabinet schedule. With the consent of the Minister of Railways he had had a very long interview with tho General Manager of Railways. He could not say that the interview had resulted in a solution of the problem, but very soon ho hoped to bo able to give to the House his reply to the request mado to him.
