MR. M ASSET AND THE HIGH COMMISSIONERSHIP.
A. question by Mr. J. Payne drew from the Prime Minister an interesting Statement in the House of Representatives yesterday. Mr. Payne asked wliether the tumour was correct that chorr-lv to KO liomo as High Coiumisff andliat Sir Joseph: Wardwas "oing Homo to represent Now Zealand on the War Cabinet. Mr. Massey: My answer .is that the statement or the rumour is absohvtely incorrect. Speaking for myself. I hare no desire to leave New Zealand, ancl I know that New Zealand can t do wrtliout me (Lauditer.) So far as I am. ahle to iulgo there will be no change fn the High Commissionership for some time. ■
