BUSINESS ON OPENING DAY"

j The_ annual Domiuion Conference, of the New- Zealand Farmors' Union was ■opened in Wellington yesterday. Sir flames Wilson. (Dominion president of the .•union) presided. , . The following remits were carried:— . Mcdical Examination.—"That in view '4pf : tbe probability that the men of. the jfiecond Division may be called Tip for service,,it is advisable^thnt the.ballots and \nicdical examinations be taken at the earliest: possible date, so that those interested may have knowledge if what to ?io in regard to their business." Military Appeals.—"That it be a recommendation to tho National Efficiency 'Board that in all cases of appeals of shearers and slaughtermen, a :trustees koajd's report he obtained for presentation to the Military Service Board before a decision is arrived at."
