A Nationalist independence manifesto has roused indignation, and a countermovement in favour of a non-party Constitutional League is receiving the support of Dutch and British .loyalists.— Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. (Eec. July 24, 10.30 p.m.) Capo Town, July 23. Mr. Burton, Minister for Railways, declares that the vims contained in the Nationalistic manifesto are repudiated by the English-speaking section and the great majority of tho Dutch.—Renter.
