The deatli took place last week ,at Gisborne of Miss IS. Moore, matron of the Gisborne Children's Creche, after a short illness. Hiss Moore was the (laughter of Mr. Carson Moore, of Hoki-. tika, and went to Gisborne about seven years ago. She was appointed matron of the creche over three years ago, and was much beloved by the children, lire. Brodie, of Matawhero, is a sister of the deceased lady, who also had a brother in South Africa. The Commandant at Trenthaw Camp acknowledges receipt of the following gifts for the hospital:—Y.M.C. A. (TrenM.C.), tobacco, writing paper, books, pens, and ink-wells; Salvation Army, fruit, sweets, cake, and handkerchiefs; Soldiers' Comforts Guild, cake; Mrs. Miles (Wellington), cigarettes, chocolate; Mrs. Steel Dick (lvelburn), cigars, cake, fruit, and sweets. Next Friday the AVellington lied Cross Shop will be in charge of the Island Bay, Lyall Bay, and South Kilbirnie Women's National Reserve.
