MOTOR ACCIDENT
At fi.45 o'clock Inst evening a wmafi nnmcd Kathleen iludson Gray, who resides at No. IK6 Vivian Street, was crossin? Manners Street, near the junction of that thoroughfare and Taranaki Street, wlien she wns accidentally knocked down I).V a motor-car driveii by Arthur Hay, of 112 Brougham Street. The woman, who had evidently become a little flurried in crossing the greasy street, received a bad fall, and was dragged, or rather pushed, some yards alyn? the woodblocks before the car was pulled up. She was picked up and taken into an adjacent shop, where she wns given temporarv attention, pending the arrival of the Hospital motor ambulance, which ronveveii her at once to the Hospital. It is believed that her injuries consist of a severe shnkins, some bruises, arid a feuminor cuts about the face. She retained consciousness, and told H>i> constable whn took plmr.se of the case that the motorist wns not responsible for the accident.
