SECOND DIVISION CONFERENCE

: *- r . FURTHER EESOLTJTtONS. ' . The Second Division Conference was continued in Wellington yesterday. Mr. K-. A. Armstrong presided. The question of organisation was discussed, and it was resolved: "That a committee be set up to draft a national constitution, to be submitted to all leagues, and that meanwhile our political business be in the hands of a consultative committee of provincial representatives, in conjunction with the Wellington Executive, and that in matters of urgency arising out of and being within the administration of this conference the Welfincton Executive have power to act." 'Hie following resolution was irade.— "That the Government be urged to devise jjieans consistent with the rights of the mortgagee whereby the widow of a deceased soldier bemg the owner of a. mortgaged home shall not bo compelled to sell the home." Cheers were given for the Wellington League and for the president. The National Anthem and "Auld Lang Syne" were sung, and the conference closed shortly before midnight.
