An interesting engagement recently an-' nounced in Australian papers is that of Miss Carmen Delprat, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Delprat, of Melbourne, to Mr. P. E. Teppema. Vice-Consul for the Netherlands in Melbourne. Miss Delprat is a sister of Lady Mawson, the handsome wife of tho explorer, who was so much admired when visiting Christchurch a couple of years ago.
