THE BRITISH CAPTURE OFF' HOLLAND WAS THERE TRESPASS? (liec. July 19, 5.30 p.m.) Amsterdam, July 18. The "Telegraaf" states that two British destroyers, while firing on the German steamers, wero within Dutch territorial waters. Three of the Livinia's crew and five of the Leonhardfs crew were killed, while six were wounded. The Livinia reached Ymuiden. The Leonhardt was towed to Holder—Aus.-N.ft. Cable Assn. GERMANS FURIOUS OVER THEIR LOSS DARK THREATS TO HOLLAND. (Rec. July 29, 8.35 p.m.) Amsterdam, July 18. The Germans are most indignant at the capture of their steamers, alleging that Britain violated Holland's neutrality in bombarding Bergcn-op-Zoom. The "Vossiche Zeitnng" says: "Tho whole issue now depends on the attitude of tho Dutch Government, which must understand that Germany will demand positive measures, not merely words, if she wishes Germany to continue to regard her as being really neutral. If Holland fails to show firmness she must resign herself to her fate.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
