; Dunedin, July IS. Albert James Hern was charged in the Police Court this morning with failing to make application for enrolment uitlio First Division. Defendant said he tilled in a form and posted it in 1915, but received no reply, and last year called at the post office, filled in a form,, and posted it. The Magistrate said the onus was on the defendant to show ho had made application for enrolment. He had taken no steps to find out what had happened to his application or to see whether his name was on the First Division list. Defendant was fined £50.
