BiY Order in Council, doted the $th July, I 1917, tho Second Division of the RoBervo has been divided into the following classes:— Class A.~To comprise all Reservists of tho Second Division who for the tlmo being have no ohlldren. Olms B—To compriso all Reservists of tho Second Division who for the time being hiiTo ono ohild. Class o—To oouipriao all Reservists of tho Second Division who for the time being havo two obildren. Class D.—To compriso ull Reservists of the Second Division who for the time botng have three children. Olasb E—To oompriso all Reservists of the Second Division who for tho time being havo four children. Class I?.—To comprise, all Reservists of Mm Second Division who for the time being have nioro than four children. For the purposes of the closslfica.tion the term "ohild" lo used irrespectively of age. and includes a child legally adopted before the Ist May, 1915; a, step-child 1C the Reservist married tho mother of that ohild hofnro the Ist Hay, 1915; and an illegitimate child of the Reservist it the .Reservist married the mother of that child before the Ist May, 1915. A child who has been legally adopted by any other person may not be counted as a, child of his natural parents. Any Bon of a ReserviDt who has died while » member of any of His Majeßty'n Military or Naval Forces engaged In tho present war may be counted aB if ho had been still living. By a War Regulation dated tho 4th July, 1917, every Resorvißt of the Second Division Is directed within ten days after Wednesday, the Hth July, 1917, to deliver to a postal officer at. any post office, upon the printed form obtainable at any post of. lice, :i. true statement, of the number of his children as on the above date. Nothing, however, in thin Regulation applies to any Reservist who has already furnished to the Government Statistician, cither under the National Registration Aot, 1915, or the Military Service Act. 1916, sufficient information as to his children to enable that Reservist to bo properly classified as on Wednesday, the Hth July, 1917. Every Reservist is required, within ten days after such change, to notify the Government Statistician by registered letter of any change that takes place in the number of his children after Wednesday, the Hth July, 1917. Anv Reservist who fails to fulli] any of the above obligations or who makes any false representations rolativn to his childron is guilty of an offence, and is liable nndor tho War Regulations Act, 19M, accordingly.
