Jfr. Joe Gardiner, light-weight champion wrestler of New Zealand, has accepted the challenge of Private Percy C. Woods, ex-light-weight champion of England, to. wrestle for tho Jtew Zealand championship for a substantial purse. The contest is to take place at Featherston. Mr. Reuben L. Hobbs, middleweight champion (catch-as-calch-can) of New Zealand, is training Gardiner for the forthcoming contest.
