THORNDON BOWLING CLUB
ANNUAL MEETING. . The annual meeting of the Thorndorc Howling Club was held last evening m tho pavilion, Mr. G. Hogben presiding. In tho statement of receipts and expenditure the year commenced with a. credit balance of c£69 17s. 3d., "which was increased to £1% 10s. 3d. at tno close of. the year, leaving a small balance tocredit on the actual year's transactions.. The report adds: "With the prospect of having a greatly-improved green, and an-, influx of new members, 'the cluh.s f.nan--cial 'position should be materially unproved during the coming season. The receipts for the year, including tho sum of .£69 17s. 3d., was £502 13s. 7d., and. the expenditure totalled £130 3s. 4d., showing a credit balance of £72 UN. 3d. The assets of the club, including the credit balance and unpaid subscriptions amounted to £3659 10s 3d. The report and balance-sheet were adopted. The following office-bearers were elected:—President, Colonel "• vice-president, Mr. E. F. Hadfields directors, Messrs. M. 0. V. Dimock, P Myers, E. W. Seaton, F. G. Staff, and.' 11. F. Upham; hon. secretary, Mr. .1. bMunro; hon. treasurer, Mr. C. L - nit ' tev; hon. auditor, Mr. A. V. Allen; delegate to Wellington Centre, Mr. M. O. \ .. Dimock; sole selector of Saturday team.,. Mr. D. G. Wilson; sole selector ol Wednesday teams, Mr. J, Gamble. A special vote of thanks was passed to the retiring secretary, Mr. I. Hatch, for his services to the club loi several years.
