PARASITIC AFFLICTIONS FROM EGYPT. (Rec; July 16, 11.15 p.m.) ' Melbourne, July IG. Senator Pearce (Federal Defence Minister) expresses the anxiety of', the medical services concerning a new parasitic disease affecting returned soldiers from Egypt, known as "riharzia disease," which is usually acquired when bathing in affected water.* The larvae o£ the worm penetrates the skin and infests the bladder and adjacent organs. Tlio authorities are taking the necessary precautions to prevent the acclimatisation of the disease.—Press Assn. .
