CONFERENCE OF CLUB DELEGATES. . (By Tclegrauh-Snecial Correspondent.) Wannanui, July U. At a meeting of delegates representing clubs affiliated to the National Coursing Association of Now Zealand last evening Mr. J. W. West, of Hamilton, presided, and delegates wero in attendance, from various parts of both North and South Islands. Tho chairman mentioned that tho council had been called upon during tho past year to investigate several charges of breaches of the Eulcs of Coursing, and where tho oifonco hurl heen. proved tho offender had been punished in fiuch a way as he trusted would lead to the elimination from coursing of oil but imo sports. It was tho duty of individual clubs.to investigate all suspicions cases coming within fhoir knowledge, and thus assist to stamp out, illegal practices. "Whilo the council is appeal body and has no wish to usurp the functions of affiliated clubs," he raid, "it must lake action whero a. club fails (o carry out its duty." The council'e secretary reported thai: a conferonco of representatives from tho fivo State of Australia and Dominion of New Zealand would meet at itfelhourno on ,Inly 18, for tho purpose of of forming an Australasian Coursing Union. In tho event of tlio union being formed, Nen/lOiiland would in tho near future havo an opportunity of controlling au Australasian Watorloo Cup. It was resolved, on tho irjilion of II r. Xickson, "That tho affiliated Clubs be urged to includo in their programmes a St. Leger Stale." Wanganul, July If The Mow Zealand Waterloo Coursing Meeting, conducted by tho W.ineanui Coursing Club, was held to-day in boauliful weuther, with a large attendance. Forty-six dogs, representing all parts of tho Dominion, competed in tho Waterloo Cup. Besults, second course:— Lord Ainans beat War Song-, Black Pirate beat Tipperary, Poueher beat Mis 3 Myra. Royal Amanns beat Ked Pirate, Grand Opera beat Nfeht March, Even Up beat tight Opera,, Kainbow beat Norman Lukefield, Kingi Poi beat Merry Teek, All Black beat Mbree Statesman, Johnny Fan beat Moreo, Seaplane brat Indian Corn, Zona Dare, a, bye.
