OUR REINFORCEMENTS
Sir—ln regard to Dr. Newman's speech and Sir James Allen's reply, also your leading article in this mornings paper, may I ask, why have we sent more reinforcements than we required.' Why have they been made into an extra brigade? Why cannot the original Itemfowtnents bo used instead of further depleting the colony of man power? What guarantee have we that our future rein-
forcements will not be made Mito extra brigades:' If the war lasts three years longer, how can we expect to keep up the present reinforcements. Why not face it now? You have missed the point of Dr. Newman's speech. I think it is: In which way would we be rernng the Empire best: To prepare now for the world famine after the war, or to continue sending men that can be better employed here. It'e not a case of New Zealand backing out, but in which way can. wo help the most?—l am, etc., JUSTICE TO ALL.v July 11.
