Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Mastcrton. report having held a successful re-openiuc sale in their Taratahi ualeyarda on Monday. There was a Rood yarding of both sheep and cattle, comprising 1600 sheen and 71 cattle, of which 1200 sheep and 5» cattle were sold. Competition was sood. and the following prices were realised:— Sheep: Forward wethers. 335.; fat owes. 29s 'lid. to 30s. 6d.; fat hoggets, b.f., 235. to 245.; 4-year breediuß ewes to Roniney rams and Southdown, 335. Bil.; 2. 4, and 6-tooth ewes to Itomncy rams, 315.; caiwty ewes, 225.; small 2-tooth wethers, 255. Messrs. Dalßcty and Co., Ltd., Masterton report having held a clearing sale oi dairy stock at MOrison's Bush on account of Mr. Clifford Lyford, who.has dt-fcscd p£ his property. The cows came forward' in excellent condition for this timt. of the season, and commanded good competition, the whole herd making the satisfactory average of £11 ner head. There was a good demand right throughout, and practically a total 'clearing was cllccted.
