ITS OBSERVANCE IN NEW ZEALAND. Sydney, July 13. Tlio allegations regarding the abuse of the anti-shouting law in New Zealand, inado by a correspondent to the Sydney "Daily Telegraph," have brought a number of defenders into the field. Mr. Richard Teece, of the A.M.I- , . Society, writes:—"l recently toured tho whole- of New Zealand, and can safely assert that in all respectable hotels and clubs the Anti-Shouting Act is strictly obsorved." The 6cvere punishment ho saw inflicted for infraction of the antishoutiug Acts is a wholesome deterrent. Suing his visit ho did not see a single case of dunkenuess in the Dominion.— Press Assn.
