EAST CLARE BY-ELECTION
SINN FEIN DEFEATS NATIONALIST. (Rec. July 12, 5.45 p.m.) London, July 11. At the East Clare by-election, Devaleru, the Sinn Fein candidate, polled 5010 votw, and Lynch, tl\e Nationalist candidate, 2030. The result is considered to lie serious for Ireland's future—Aue.N.Z. Cable Assn.
