Messrs. Wright. Stephenson, and Co., I/Ul., report having held their fortnightly sale on Friday, when they submitted • a good yarding of- sheep and a medium entTy jof cattlo to the usual-aUondancc. 'Tho sheep offered -comprised four and five-year ewes, ■which were in poor demand, and excited no competition. "Very few buyers were operating,' and consequently the sale was xcry dragging throughout. • Sale® were mado at the following jpriccs —Four and fivovear ewes," 21s. to 255.; potter rams. ss. to 10s. 6d.: haoks, £7; sprinp-cart mare, £8 155.; collie pups, se. to 10s. 6d. Messrs. Dalgety and 00., Ltd., report:— Wo held our weekly stock salo at Daunc-. 1 virko on Friday, and quote as follows:— Cattle: Dairy cows, up to £10. Sheep: Fat and forward wot-hers, up to 3Js. 3d.; cull hoggets, 15s.
Messrs. Abraham, mid Williams, Ltd., report: At Palmerstou .North on Thim-diiy our entry comprised 1200 sheep anil 100 cattle. Iho market was slightly easier for sheep, though hoggets sold well. Cattle were in demand, and wo sold practiclly the whole of our entry. • Quotations: Fat ewes, 245. ' J 4, Iv «®Pty fat and forward ewes, 17s. Id., 19s. Id,, to 205.; woolly hog-" gete, '17s.
