COOPER'S SEEDS

"THE SEEDS OF v SUCCESS."

At the;. Winter Show held at Haweni the firm 'of F. COOPER, LTD., of Wellington, Blenheim, Christchurch, etc., had a magnificent display of the produce of Cooper's Seeds. A feature .of the display is the wonderfully fine assortment of splendid specimens of prac-; tically all the principal vegetables, - and also turnips, .swedes, mangels, lucerne, Sudan grass, and all tho principal farm crops. Referring to Messrs. Cooper's exhibit at tho jecent Palmerston North Winter Show, tho "Evening Post" says: "For many years past Messrs. Cooper's have demonstrated that New Zealand-grown seed is far and away superior to tho imported article. It is fresher and of stronger germinating power, and being thoroughly acclimatised, is more suited to tho New Zealand climatic conditions than imported, seed can.be. On the firm's stand) were to be seeii/beautiful specimens of Cooper's Long Bed\ Mangel and Cooper's Jersey Queen, unquestionably the best in the Show. On the Government stand in tho same hall. wa\ to be seen, a big display of roots grown from Cooper's Seeds, and compared with those from other firms and imported strains tho specimens from Cooper s Seeds are miles ahead." The leading prize-takers at this Show in tho Vegetable Root Classes were Mr. T. Webb, Palmerston (who secured 29 prizes); Mr. A. Passey, Pohangiua; Jlr. AV. Webb, Hastings, and Mr. Woolford, Rongotea. All these growers used Cooper's Seeds almost exclusively. A number of the other wero also successful with the produce of Cooper's Seeds. In th ( e Government trials, reported in the "Journal of Agriculture," August 21, 1916, mangels grown from Cooper's selected seeds cropped 71 tons per aero, anS beat all other competitors. The extent of 'the business of this firm may be gauged, by the fact that they require to sow each season in New Zealand alone over 3000 acres of ,land exclusively for seed purposes. All of Cooper's. Seeds are tested for germination by the Nejv Zealand Department of Agriculture, and also by their own independent tests, and nothing is allowed to go out until these tests prove satisfactory. Cooper's Seeds lire stocked in bulk and in packets by the principal merchants and seedsmen in all parts of New Zealand, but it is necessary to be sure that you really obtain Cooper's "Seeds of Success."— GS.
