Miss Christie, national lecturer for the Tbeosophioal Society, delivered an address at the society's rooms. BaLlanee Street, last evening, on the subject, "Saint and Sinner: Their Sinai Goal the Same." ■ Miss Christie based her conclusion on the great basic truth of tho inherent divinity of man. Man being divino, had bis centre in God. From God tie came, to God ho must roturn. God's plan for ma-n was evolution' worked cut through'countless lives, gaining exporv ohce of good and evil. Every eoul traversed the 'long journey from the eavage to thfl saint, and delayed or hastened the journey according to the way ho used lie free will. .All tho 'treasures of God's conscoinsness lio waiting the ovolution of every human soul. When, tho man reached the stage-of the genius ho realised he was but .1 child in knowledge, gathering shells on the sea shore. To-day tbeosophy was helping and' comforting thousand's with its gospel of an immortal hope. It said to the world Ui-day that this war was tho cleansing and purifying process preceding a new and better ,-ijto Many of tlie men killed in this war would bo back to tako part in t.ho work of reconstruction that now lies beioro tho world. The teaching of reincarnation and karma solved the great problem of apparent" injustico; it showed that eternal justice ruled the world, and every human r-oul worked, out his own. salvation.

It is the'.mtenhon of the Ladies' Guild to hold similai "socials" every fortnight, tho proceeds to go to their fund for providing comforts for the sick and wounded soldiers.
