SUNDAY SCHOOL UNION
A series. of teacher training classes were commenced on "Saturday evening i'n the rooms of the Y.M.C.A. The first four classes arc being taken by Miss Sinclair, M.A., who is taking the junior international coarse. There was .1 fair attendance of city and suburban teachers and leech interest was manifested by them in. the instruction given by Miss Sinclair. The blackboard was used to illustrate tho lesson, and the teachers were shown how this means can be made effective in class work without'calling for any. great skill on the part of the teacher. Classes on the intermediate and senior courses are to bo conducted later by Mr. E. K. Lomas, MA., and Mr, T. H. Gill, M.A., LL.B. The president, Mr. Alex. Johnston, announced that a meeting of superintendents and teachers would be held on Jiilv 21 to discuss the best way of meeting" the difficulty in regard to the matter of next year's lessons, when there will l>9 three different courses from which schools : mav e elect their lessons. Is Is hoped Sat all schools in Wellington district will: .ndopt the same course, and so maintain 'tho unity which has been in evidence for eo many years
