CONFERENCE RESOLUTIONS. The United Federation of Labour resumed its sitting on Saturday morning at the Beehive Chambers, Mr. E. J. Howard (president) being in the chair. The following decisions were arrived at:— . That the unions, which so generously assisted the gaoled Labour leaders' dependants' fund be heartily thanked for their donations; also that we place on record an expression of appreciation to tho committee appointed to administer the fund. , That the decision to delete Clause 11 of. the constitution be rescinded, and the clause reinserted. That the apprenticeship question bo referred to the incoming National Executive. That the executive's recommendation: "That the Government be asked to •undertake the expense of sending a delegate to the World's Peace Conference to be convened by the American Federation of Labour at the same place and time as the conference is held to determine the terms of peace be endorsed. The Eabour movement to elect the delegate." That conference affirm the principle of technical instruction to apprentices during working hours. That a deputation be appointed to lay the decisions of conference before Ministors. ' That the National-Executive be stationed at Christchurch. Votes of thanks were accorded to the Tetiring officers.
