Bishop, a Canadian, aged nineteen, who has received the Victorian Cross, the D.5.0., and tlie Military Cross. . He •■ fought fifty-seven victorious air battles, exceeding the record of Captain Ball,, the British airhero. Captain Bishop, single-handed, fought an entire aerodrome of German airmen, destroyed four, and returned unhurt, but with his machine riddled with bullets.
