Ltd., I'almerston North, report:—On Wednesday wn held a sale of dairy stock on account ol Mr. 0. E. Jones, Kauwhata. which was modorately attended. The dairy cows were a fair lot of mostly Shorthorn cows, and were in good condition. There was a fairly good demand, bidding was spirited, and we have to report having had a buocessful sale. The herd of 40 cows averaged over £11-por head. ■ Best springing cows brouzht £13 to £15 10s.; cows in milk, a,io to £15 55.; fair dairy sorts, £10 to £12 10s.; a few backward and empty cows, .til ss. *-o £9 10s. .--
