LABOUR CONGRESS
At the Labour Congress yesterday a sub-committee of fivo was set up to prepare a statement on the cheap labour question. ' It was decided that the question of returned soldiers should be referred to tho United "Federation of 'Labour for consideration. ,i,,i In order to secure better results; locally and nationally,' for the labour and money spent by trades unions, it was resolved that steps be taken to link up all kindred trades in one union. ■ Tho Prime Minister has consented to receive a deputation from tho congress to-day on the various questions discussed by congress.
