PREMIER'S NARROW ESCAPE
MR, HOLMAN JUST MISSED BY A GERMAN SHELL. (Rec. July G, 0.25 a.m.) London, July.s. Mr. W. A. Holman (.Premier of New South Wales) narrowly escaped death when visiting the Australian sector at the front. A shell burst within' a few yards of his party, killing an officer who was accompanying him. The shock knocked' Mr. Holman down, • temporarily dazing him. He-escaped with a few ■bruises and torn clothes.—United Service. ■ ■
