Messrs. Wright, Stephenson, and Co., Ltd., report on Tuesday's sale at Pahiatua as under:—To a large attendance of buyers from Dannevirke, Palmerston North, and Fcilding in addition to the surrounding district we submitted a very good yarding of etotik, which met "with, a good market, resulting in a complete clearance of our entry at the following rates. 62 b.f. lambs, 1&3. 5d.; potter rams, 16s. 6d.; 1 dairy cow, close to profit, £14; 11 dairy cows, average £10;,2 dairy cows, £9; 7 dairy cows, £8 ss.

At the X store -waiting-room last evening there w<ib a. meeting of some 160 waterside workers, presided over by Mr. L. Glover. Nominations -were received for a, returning officer and two scrutineers for th« annual elections, whioh take place in a few weeks. Mr. A. Agnew was elected returning officer, and Mr. J. Keogh and Mr. 0. Hart scrutineers. Nominations close for. tho annual election two days before the annual meeting, to take place in a.bout a fortnight.
