This firm, whoso head office is in Dunediu, is showing an interesting and valuable cooimorcial exhibit. Pre-ominence in given to "Jodelito," tho original Britieh wood preeervafco, and a preparation that should find a vory uscJ'ul sphere amongst farmers and local bodies. In the Old Country it hae proved, over a. test of thirty years, to bo an efficient preservative of all kindfi of wood against dry rot, decay, futngns, or tho attacks of parasitic insects, and is now being- used extensively in the Dominion on public •works, such as bridges, oto. All -woodwork exposed to the influence of moistiiro requires two good coats, and as one gallon, will cover from 40 to 50 squnre yards, according to the nature of the surface- of the timber, and the cost ie only 7a. 6d. per gallon, in five-gallon dru'ime, it cannot bo said to be an expensive preparation to apply. Portions of ft small gate treated -with Jodolile 10 rears ago. and now shown at this firm's stand, tire prefcctly 6ound to-da.y, -whilst alternate battens left painted. Tvith ordinary -paint aro rotting away, and this conclusively proves the very great value of the prtjiaration as a wood preservative in this country. Messrs. Gutlirio. Bowron and Co. are «lfo exhibiting Messrs. "Naylnr Bros/ varnishes. Messrs. Kaylor Bros, are amongst the oldest varnish -makers in the world, tho firm having been in existence for over a hundred years, and their products aro now generally reirard- ■ ed as quite out on their own. Their varnishes are m=ed I>y moat of the great railway corporations at Home, and they were used exclusively on the Dunedin tramways.—(Published by Arrangement.)
