WELLINGTON CLUB'S ANNUAL GATHERING OPENED BY COUNTESS OF LIVERPOOL Testorday afternoon the thirtr-fift.h a.nnual ehow of the Wellington Poultry, Pigeon, and Canary Society wv opened by Her Excellency the Oountow of Liverpool. In the utility poultry nlassc-B tho quality was generally good, especially (Jib White L-srhornE, which wern well, in advance of last, year's cla-ss, and the Bhodo Island Keitv. which made tip beet, ehowing yet, neen in Wellington. In tho fa.ncy poultry clasFes IJie quality war, cnncrally high, but thcro -wan plenty of room for improvement, and several of tho . birds were coaoree. There wore seventeen entries in-the children's cJbes. The caaaries were all Rood, a.nd tho roso bowl wlnnere were tho best yet shown in Wellington. The cats will be judged, on .Friday. .
