At l'almerston North oil Juno 28 we had a good yarding of both cattle and sheep. There was a fair demand, and a largo amount of Btock changed bauds, prices ruling as under:—Full-mouth cwcb, in lamb, 255. 6d. to 275. Bd.; cull ewes, 9s. There was . a largo attendance of buyers, and a good sale resulted. Messrs. Dalgcty and Co., Ltd., report having held their fortnightly stoolt salo at Woodvillo on Juno 25. There was a fair yarding, and cvorything sold at satisfactory prices. We quoto as follows:— Cows: Fat heifers. £9 ss. to £10; store cows, £6 156.\t0 £8 155.; dairy cows, £9 ss. to £12. Sheep: Fat owes, 235. 6d.; sound-mouth, ewes, in lamb, 225. 9d. Tho firm also held tho weekly salo at Miller's Road Yards, Dauncvirke, on June 29, and quote as follows:—Cattle: Fat cows, £9 15s. to £12; fat heifers, £9 10s.; dairy cows, £8 ss. to £10 10s. Bheqp: Ewes, in lamb, 275. 5d.; cull lambs, 7s. Id. to Bs. Id.
Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Palracrston North, report having a very large entry of sheep and a good entry of cattle at their Feilding salo on June 29. Tho yarding of sheep was comprised chiefly of hoggets, and for tho hotter class tho demaud w,as good, but inferior lots wcro neglected. Cattle wcro oasier, and several lines failed to change hands. Quotations: Small lambs, lis. 9d., 125., 13a. 7d., lfc.
