THE EASTBOURNE OLTJJ3-. . The annual meeting of tho Eastbourne Bowling Olub took place on Friday. There was a large attendance of mombers, tho president. Mr. H. : Shortt," boing in the chair. Favourable comment was made on the club s financial position, and tho extremely successful year which has iust closed. The election of officers for "tho ensuing year was as under :-l'resident, m: H. bhortt: vice-president; Mr. A. TValker; committee, Messrs. P. Levi, 0 A Marquis, J. Morris, F. Ohltty, and'. C. Green; treasurer, Mr. A. Munro; secretary, Mr. VT. Powell; auditor, Mr. J. Stevenson; delegate to centre. Mr. W. Powellsolo selector, Mr. T. Maher. A motion was carried to the effect that the club would not enter for next year's pennant competition unloss a new systoui is Intro, rtuced. involving fewer Saturdays" for match purposes. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded to Mr. F. Ohitty on his retiring froin tno poß j tion of t rcasure , which position he had occupied for over seven years. During th 6 evening ton new members were' elected.
