THE PROHIBITION FIGHT IN AMERICA
ACTION BY TEE PRESIDENT. (Rec. July 1, 5.5 p.m.) Washington, June 30. President Wilson has acted personally to modify the Prohibition fight. He told the Senate leaders he had agreed to the proposal to stop the manufacture of foodstuffs into whisky, but thought the manufacture of beer and wines should not be stoped.—Reuter.
