GovemorGeneral, Sir .Ronald Mmvro-l<'erguson, urged tho organisation of tho shipping and railways to facilitate- the transport of wool and wheat.
The Acting-Premier stated that the Government was propared to proceed, with tho construction of ships at Walsh Island immediately the Federal authorities gave the -word. ■The president, of the Sheepbreeders' Association 6nid that since tho breaking of tho drought of 1.915-191G pastoralists had- had the best season known for many years. The prices of wool and 6tock wero never higher, but the profits were affected by a severe attack of tho blowfly pest in the latter part of 191 C. The most serious question from tho producers point of view was the alarming shortage of shipping. Ho urjed that thero should be greater co-operation in tho pastoral industry, and the establishment of an organisation to improve the position.—Press Association.
