Now York, Juno 28. Coal operators have been ehai-Red with a conspiracy to fix prices. A letter has been produced in an cftort lo prove .that there was a "gentlemen's agreement to increase the prices chared to the British Admiralty from 330 cents. (13s. 9d.) to Hve dollars (£1) per ton. Washington, June -S. Tho coal-owners and Iho Defence Council have agreed on a maximum price for coal, to bo operative from July 1.-Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
