CASUALTIES (AMONG THE CREW. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchurch, June 27. The Now Zealand Shipping Company • has received the following postcard from Mr. 11. M'Nish, late chief officer of the. Otaki, who is now a prisoner at Karlsruhe:—"! beg to state that tho Otaki was sunk s on March 10 by a German cruiser. I regret to state the following .. casualties-.--Captain Smith went down with' his ship, the chief steward (Mr. Willis) was drowned, and Kilner and - Martin / (apprentices) Kewston (seaman), ■ and A.' H. Little (third engineer) Vero •■. killed. Glitz, a trimmer, had a. leg amputated. Jackson, a seaman, Payne (ap-. prentice), Lancaster, Randall, and Groves'■ (firemen) were wounded, but not seriously, and several others were slightly wounded.
