Though the foreign markets have supplied very littlo during 1(116, tho production in England has been most remarkable. In 1913 tho value- of eggs and poultry produced in England amounted to .£9,000,000, while in ISIIO, the third year of tho war, tho value had risen to .tIJyIOO.OOO. Tho Irish increase in production amounted to .£3,000,000, whilo tho decrease of foreign importations amounted to .£5,168,000. The war has taught tho English farmer that each year he has been unnecessarily importing millions of pounds' worth of foreign eggs and poultry.
