CONFEEENCE IN WELLINGTON CONCLUDED. Tho Public Servico Conference concluded its-sittings yesterday. Tho election of officers for tlio ensuing year resulted as follows:—President, Mr. G. Allport; vice-presidents, Messrs. W. M. Wright, C. E. C. Itobieson, the chairmen, of Section Committees at Auckland, Christchurch, i) ml Dunedin; lion, general secretary, Mr. F. W. Millar; hon. general treasurer, Mr; B. L. Dallard; solicitor, Mr. M. Myers; executive committee: lady representatives, Miss Woodhouso (Lands and Survey Department), Miss Morris (Public Trust Office); Auckland, Mr. C. E. C. Eobieson;. South 'Auckland and Gisbomo, Mr. W..M. Wright; Ta.ranaki, Wanganui, and Palmerston North, Sergeant S. G. Willcocksj Hawke's Bay, Mr. W. S. Hardy; Marlborough, Mr. A. Burgess; West Coast, Mr. W. W. Cook; Canterbury, Mr. P. Jordan; Southland, Mr. Lightfoot; Otago, Mr. G. C. Cooke; Nelson, Mr. G. Ward; Wellington, Messrs. Laurenson, M'Clune, Forsyth, andStitchbury; hon. auditor, Mr.' G. C. Smith; representatives on the Council of Stato Service Associations, Messrs. Allport, Wright, aud Millar. A deputation from the conference waited upon tho Publio Servico Commissioner, and discussed with him various matters which tho conference had dealt with. Tho Commissioner gavo an assuranco that full consideration would be given to the representations made, and that a reply would bo returned at as early a dato as possible.
:A*vote of thnnks to the president, Mr. Allport, brought tho conference to an end.
