Especial satisfaction is felt over tho emphatic statement that tho interests o£ tho Dominion will Iμ conserved and that the headquarters' control will not bo affected. GOVERNMENT NOT INACTIVE. Kcplying to a question on the subject yesterday tho Hon. G. W. Russell (Minister of Marine) said that he could mak.o no statement resarilinq the shipping fusion except to say that tho Government had not been inactive in the matter.
