ANNUM, REPORT. Tho annual report of tho Hawke's Bay A. and P. Society, to bo presented on Monday next, states that tho balancesheet shows a gro.is profit on the year's work of -CS3S Bs. Id. Of this amount .C 8 ss. has been written oIF the library account, «£7 llis. off tho office furniture account, £'-i 3s. Jd. off tho new show ground improvement account, and ,£94 (Is. 9d. off the building, yards, and plant account of tho present grounds. The last account, after having been gradually written down from .£2757 Is. sd. in tho last live years, now stands at .£IOO, and will be left at that amount, which is a low value of the plant alone, until tho society goes to the new grounds. Tho iiuancial membership for the past year was 13G1, which is 51 less than tho previous year, the falling-off being duo to tho loss of subscriptions of members who aro on active, service. Tho report proceeds: It is impossible to etate the exact number of members now serving at the front, but thero must bo fully 100, all of whom are being kept financial while , absent. Three members of committee havo resigned during the year in order to go into camp, viz., Messrs. H. N. Coloiuan, R. N. Tod, and E. B. Williams.
