ISLAND-BAY AFFAIRS

Speakers made it clear that 1 they did not want to be parochial in the - matter, believing that it irai in the int terests of the city that something should - be done in the matter of cheapening the i lish supply, but the opinion was that i before either the Government or the City ; Council adopted a scheme for dealing with fish at the bay, it was only rea- [ soiiable lo ask that th« people most afl focted, viz., the residents of Island Bay, should be consulted. It was decided thut l Island Bay people should hold a public . meetiug to go into the question generally, : and if possible get the Hon. 6. AV.
