Captain Bollons, of tho Government steamer Hinemoa, who went into a private hospital about n- week ago with a. eovero complaint, has been operated upon, and is now reported to bo doing eplendidly. lie is, however, very weak, and it will bo some time before he is able to got about again. Yesterday afternoon Mr. Hans, tho Wellington Harbour Board's diver, went down and commenced a survey of tho hull of the barque which went ashore at tho Heads- on Monday, and was afterwards towed off and berthed at tho Railway Wharf. Mr. A. Walker, Lloyds' surveyor at Wellington, speaking to a Dominion reporter yesterday, stated that some forty feet had been examined on tho. Btarboard side forward, and tho examination should be completed this morning. Ho admitted that tho damage aa far as. yesterday s examination was not of a- serious nature, but preferred to wait until tho rest of tho hull Is gone over to-day, and tho interested parties are advised before ma*, ins any statement regarding tho damago dono.
