ROYAL TITLES OF TEUTONIC ORIGIN
The High Commissioner reports: London, June 10, i p.m. The King deems it desirable, in the conditions evolved from the present war, that the princes in his family and the wholo of his subjects bearing German names should respectively relinquish' their titles and adopt British surnames. Consequently tho Dulto of Tcck and Prince Louis Alexander of Battenburg are created marquises, and Princo Alexander of Tcck au earl.
