THE PIRATE TOLL ON BRITAIN
FOUR MONTHS' SHIPPING LOSSES (Eec. Juno 20, 6.50 p.m.) Washington, June 19. Tho submarine toll for the past four months includes 322 Britsih vessels of over IGOO tons and 135 vessels of under IGOO tons. During tho same period tlvroß hundred vessels were attacked unsuccessfully. Tho arrivals at and sailings from British ports averaged 2500 per week. The total loss is unofficially computed at 1,750,000 tons.—Reuter. WAR RATES ON MARINE RISKS NEW SCALE FOR AUSTRALIA. Sydney, Juno 20. The Underwriters' Association issued a new schedule of war rates as follows:— Steamers: To the United Kingdom, via Suez, tho Cape ofi Good Hopo, and Panama, 10 per cont.; to tho United States or Canada, east coast, via, Suez, 10 per cent.; via Capo of Good Hopo, 5 per cent.; west coast, 1 per cont. Sailors: To United Kingdom, 35 per cont.; America and Canada—East coast, 15 per cent.; west coast, 5 per cent. NORWEGIAN STEAMER MINED AND' SUNK (Rec. Juno 20, 0.35 p.m.) Copenhagen, June 19.
