MEETING Of THE COMMITTED. A meeting of flic committee of the Football .Association was held last evening i« the y.-M.t'.A., Air. A. E. Wells presiding. .Mr. J. P. Firth, headmaster of "Wellington College, wrote in. reply to tho committee's oiler to introduce the association "amp iiiio the college that he was sorry he could not hold out any hope that the suggestion would bo adopted. "The school must play cither Bugby or Association," wrote Air. Firth; "it cannot successfully play both." The secretary was instructed to reply disagreein,!; with .Mr. Firth's conclusions, and suggesting a reconsideration of the question, so that something may be none by tlie Association ue.\t season. it was decided lo supplv the C'lvdc Quay School with a football. The. inter-school games postponed Inst Friday will bo played to-morrow, and tho Saturday fixtures will be the same as arranged for last; Saturday, and which wero postponed owing to the rough weather.
