THE RICHARDSON FLEET. / A Napier "Herald" reporter has been informed that the Richardson _00., Ltd.. has completed negotiations with Levin and Co., Ltd., for the purchase of tho s.s. Awahqu, a steamer of 400 tons carrying caoacity. The Awahou was built at Paisley in 1912 and is a twin-screw steel vessel, and tip till now has been runfling in the Wellington, Greymouth, Westport, and Foxton trades. With a full carco of produce tho Wootton is due to-morrow from liyttelton. The vessel will probably sail again to-morrow night, taking cargo for Lyttelton.
The Sydney 'Marine Underwriters Association last week reoeived a cablegram regarding vyir rates .from London stating:—"War—Java, Pacific, Straits, i'ar Eas,t, 1 per cent.; Africa, India, Burniab, 2 per cent." \ The Alexander will bo replaced by the Begnlus to-day on her trip to Nelson and the West, Coast. The Alexander is now duo to-inorrow from Tarakohe and «■- leavs to-morrow for the West Coast ttirect, missing tho usual Nelson call. On Sunday tho Kennedy is due from I'ieton with a- cargo of stock. _ _
Prom tho East Coast tho Koutnnui is due on Friday. Her next port of call has not yet been definitely fixed. Yesterday the Ngatoro should have been at Whangarei loading cement for southern ports. From Whangarei the Ngatoro goes to Auckland to load general cargo, and then she will conic to Wellington. Sho should arrive about, Juno 27.
